Have you ever felt like you shot too high,
Like you could just lie down and die?
Every tear forming up so you could try,
It took you everything just to try.
You’ve been shot down at every turn,
It almost feels like a permanent burn.
The one you ask to stay didn’t return,
When are you gonna learn?
No one actually cares about you it seems,
Your life seems like a bad dream.
When you wake up you just want to scream,
It almost seems like it’s your life’s theme.
Your family always used to sit and talk,
Now all they do is scream and squawk.
Your parents used to watch you like a hawk,
Now they just laugh and mock.
School just seems to drone on and on,
Then the day goes by and its gone.
Everyone there uses you as a pawn,
They abuse you when you become withdrawn.
The pain is so strong it never goes away,
Your its everlasting prey.
Everything seems full and gray,
It seems like your life is a writer’s play.
One day, you say, you will fight it all,
Throw away the memories that made you fall.
Still as you walk down the hall,
When you think of about him all you can do is bawl.

I sit here alone, remembering memories of better days, turning the pages through a faded photo album...
